This was developed to meet the requirements both of serious music listeners and collectors of "vintage" records. These units will take the place of inferior older turntables, or enable you to use one turntable for Lp's, 45's and 78's. The Vintage II turntable is fully compatable with all modern audiophile stereo amplifiers systems. It is common knowledge that so-called 78's, are often not really recorded at 78 rpm. There are agreed upon fixed speeds that may be used for certain brands of older recordings. Edison for example, stated their speed as 80 rpm. The Esoteric turntable provides a modern hi-fi turntable/tonearm combination which includes not just 33, 45, & 78 (78.26), and a variable pitch control, but three other fixed speeds. Once you begin playing 78's at their correct pitch, you will never be able to tolerate previous 78 turntables. For those with a need to play vertically cut discs, a built-in switch is available as an extra cost option.

This phono preamp allows connection of M/M 9moving magnet) cartridge turntables, plus Aux (line level) source, to the input of any Audio system. Larger styli can play older and/or worn 78 rpm records above the groove wear. Smaller tips play records below surface blemishes. These styli are made to fit Grado cartridges, such as the DJ-100. They are conical/spherical in shape, track at 2 - 5 Grams, and can be used for archival or casual play of records without concern for undue wear on the record.
Recommended as a standard size for Edison Diamond Disc and miscellaneous 20's and 30's records is 3.5 mil. Recommeded for raw aluminum and 1930's RCA pregrooved disks is 4.0 mil. The following diameter sizes are available:
Add a turntable to an amp that has no phono input or a second turntable to an amp with only one phono input. This unit can be used to convert any AUX input to phono use.
